Psychological Associate


Coreetha Entzminger is a Registered Psychological Associate with experience as a crisis counselor and child advocate for various nonprofit and private practice settings. She has worked with children and families for over a decade and is a member of the APA Society of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology – Division 53.


In therapy, she takes a collaborative approach with clients of diverse backgrounds including children, adolescents, and adults. She specializes in anxiety, stress, special needs, trauma, and life transitions. Coreetha understands how thoughts and emotions can impact behavior and uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to address challenges. She strives to eliminate the stigma associated with seeking help to improve mental health and wellness.


Coreetha’s work goes beyond therapy in that she has contributed to research efforts for both federal and county government institutions in Washington, D.C. She also creates course content for undergraduate students as an Adjunct Professor in the psychology department at Myrtle Beach College. She volunteers as a Mental Health Facilitator, providing workshops to the public on various topics related to the importance of mental health.


Coreetha holds a Bachelor or Arts degree in Psychology from Montclair State University, Upper Montclair, NJ, and Master of Science degree in Psychology from Arizona State University, Tempe, AZ. She also holds certifications in child advocacy and policy and applied behavior analysis. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Psychology degree (PsyD) at California Southern University, Costa Mesa, CA.


She joined Weekend Therapy in October 2023 where she functions as a Psychological Associate under the supervision of Dr. Nicholas K. Bennett.
